|1-Thoughts on the UFO Phenomena
by Phil!96
The overwhelming downer I have about the whole subject, is that
after all the years of UFO reports, there still is isnt a single piece
of half decent evidence to back up the claim that aliens have visited
this planet. What photographic evidence there is always seems to be
blurred, out of focus or otherwise ambiguous and if at least some of
these photos really do show alien craft, why do they vary so wildly in
size, shape and design? Reported sightings themselves rarely seem to
describe identical vessels, (whereas their inhabitants, where reported,
invariably resemble the classic 'greys'). Its curious to me that the
traditional flying-saucer seems to waned in popularity lately with
reports of more exotic trianglular or tubular vessels being more common.
Maybe we are being visited by hundreds of different alien civilizations?
Or its just the aliens responding to fashion trends??
Having been a bit dismissive, I do have to say that to me, the
explanations usually given to account for many sightings often leave a
lot to be desired. For example, the planet Venus is often quoted as
being mistaken for a UFO, appearing as a very bright light in the
morning or evening sky. But how many UFOs are described as a single,
distant, fixed point of light? The common characteristics of UFOs are
surely their strange shape, color and movement. Other favourite
explanations include lightning, meteors, aircraft and even lighthouses,
but surely people are familiar enough with such everyday things not to
get them confused? Trained military service personel are reported to
have seen things they cannot explain after all, sometimes in conjuntion
with unknown blips on their radar screens. Yet we never hear of any
serious investigation or see any recordings, even after years have
passed - which just fosters the feeling that information is being held
back.
So if aliens are really visiting Earth, the overwhelming question
is "WHY?". They obviously have no immediate interest in taking over or
even announcing their presence, after all their remote activities have
been reported for the last 50 years at least. If they are just studying
us, how long to they need? Half a century seems excessive for such
advanced beings. Perhaps they are waiting for something?
Of course, it could be that the whole UFO phenomenon is just a
modern myth, a social virus, something more credible to believe in than
god. Or maybe the aliens are really clever and just want us to view it
that way!
